Mutts (the comic strip, well mixed breeds as well) are amazing and so cute! But the real meaning of this is ADOPT PETS! Don't go off and buy a pure bred dog for a a thousand or how ever much they go for. Plus some purebreds have increased the possibility of genetic-based disease.
There are lots of little doggies like this one in shelters, or in his case running around on the street and being found by my cousin. (And yes we put up posters all over and had him checked for an implanted microchip)
